    Game camera's

What is the life expectancy of a game camera? I have bought $100.00 Primos 35 cameras and $200.00 spypoint cameras. They all seem do fine the first year and about half way through he second year I start having problems with them. My luck most only have a one year warranty. Help me out... Tired of buying cameras.

Bushnell Trophy Cam HD or Moultrie M80 or M880 and won't have problems

    Also keep your reciepts

I have 2 Moultrie M 80s that are 5 years old and have never missed a beat. If/when I need to buy more I'm going to try some Coverts. I have the Covert Code Black and really like it.

I had a trophy cam for 6 days before it cut out. brought it back somehow got more then i paid for it and got a cheapo. Ive had an old bushnell flash camera from walmart for 4-5 years and still works somehow.
Also have a Primos 55 that had the lens plucked out replaced and still in service today going on year 2

I have a WGI (higher end camera at the time) that is 5 years old and works great, just like the day I bought it. No issues at all.

I have one also. No issues. My buddies have had much more expensive cameras that crap out within a year but they also never turn theirs off when pulling cards. That may have something to do with it IDK.

I 2 use to buy all different cameras and I switched about 3 years ago to Reconyx cameras and have literally 100,000 of thousands of photos with out missing a beat. I have never once walked up to a reconyx and said man I hope my batteries lasted , man I hope I got photos. These things will take 30,000 plus photos on 1 set of batteries. Sometimes you get what you pay for, the way I see it. I bought the metal boxes for mine and love them. I did just buy 2 of the covert black ops that send texts to you phone which I love. Still too early to tell about how long they will last cuase its only been a few months. I have had this big boy on camera the last 3 nights so going up tonight after work to try and kill him

I've got a couple Moultrie D-40s,that I've had probably 7-8 years.Still going strong.BUT,I only put my cameras outfrom the end of August till November or so. I put them out again after seasons over for a couple weeks,to see who made it through.I think leaving them out in the elements unprotected all year long will do in most any camera.

I have a bushnell trophy cam that is the first one they cam out with. Been taking pictures since then. I bought a moultrie m80 and it died after a year. Kinda hit or miss on this price range of cameras. I have a primos 35 that still works but eats the batteries pretty quick.

That is neat that they send you pics. I have been wanting to try but wanted to see how the technology played out. Looks like it works for you. What is the cost of the service?
