    Coon Cuffs

Just bought a dozen Duke 0510 coon cuf traps, I cant wait to start terminating these little protein dumping, wire eating, corn gluttons. What do yall use for bait in them and how effective are they? I have heard marshmallows are the way to go.

We use marshmallows and they work like a charm.

I used some old candy bars and beans I found. Worked first night. Anything works. Needs to be soft and fit down in the trap. Heard cat food works great

Mellows are the way to go. When we use cat food we catch possums and skunks too.

I use marshmallows or small kibble dog food with a little buck candy mixed in. the tiny marshmallows are the easiest and quickest, though.

Too many skunks when I use anything with a fish base.

I didn't take location into consideration Nick.

I guess ya'll have bigger concentrations of other varmints than we do.

We haven't caught anything but coons in our sets so far.

I just kibble dog food with a few drops of some bad smelling stuff.
I set out 3 traps. secured to cinder blocks with chain got 8 in the last 3-4 weeks.

Marshmellows are not good to use when the weather gets warm......if you are in an area with ants the ants will come to the mellows very quickly....

Marshmallows = ants in my areas.
Cat food from the little cans work well.
