Jigs or minnows? Crappie

Which do you prefer for crappie? I am getting pretty good with jig fishing.

I will probably use some minnows as well.

I always bring both but I do prefer jigs over minnows when they are biting them fairly well... less work and time compared to putting minnows on. I have had occassions where they will just flat out not eat minnows but will hit jigs as soon as I cast them out but those times are few and far in between. (bank fisherman BTW... boaters that can go deeper might have different results)

I tried both the other day. I caught 0 on minnows, 16 on jigs.Just used a jig under small bobber.

I like to use both at the same time. Minnow on one pole and jig on the other. That way I'm not just sitting there staring at my cork.

Me and a buddy are having a hard time finding the crappie this year in San Angelo. Hopefully we find them soon I'm ready to eat some crappie
