    Thanks for the new lease

Wife (nursejenn) and my brothers went out and sealed the deal on almost 900 in Hamilton county. Apparently, one of the current hunters (or guest) decided to shoot out the window of the landowners tractor. Not a smart move for them, a great opportunity for us!

Don't know why or how... Just that we had been in contact with the landowner about possibly leasing and were originally told the guys might get off because they were from out of state and it was too far for them to drive... Then told they were gonna stay (disappointed)... Then about 2 weeks later, landowner called and said they're getting kicked off because of the window of his tractor being shot out with a shotgun (was quite obvious it was from close range and more than one shot). Just doesn't make sense why someone would do that if they planned to stay...

Ok. Just checking. We leased a placed in Ham County and LO said his barn had been shot at by previous leasees. Very similar to your situation.

                  Good luck!

Thanks! I hate looking for a lease and having the prospect looming of possibly not hunting if we can't find anything... This takes some stress off! I can't go a whole year without a lease! We did it one year out of the last 13 and it was really quite depressing...

Looking for a spot in that area also. I would appreciate it if you hear of another spot opening up in Hamilton/Comanche.
                        Thank you
