    Kimber Rifles

Who has one and how do you like it? I bought a Montana 8400 in 300wsm. They're super light of course so I'm wondering about recoil.

I have a Browning 300wsm white gold medallion with a Zeiss conquest that will be up for sale soon once I get some pics posted and an idea of a fair price.

Dang. You would think this is a bow hunting site or something.

I have two of them. A 300wsm and a 325wsm. Both of them shoot good for factory rifles. They do smack you pretty good especially the 325. But if you were worried about that you bought the wrong kind of rifle.

        I have a Kimber 84M 22-250 with a VX-L 3.5 10X50

        Its not a 300 but I love it...tack driver, can't help with the 300wsm

I had a 8400 Select in 300WSM. Really light and handy. Plan in spending a lot of time when i comes time to sight it in. That thin profile barrel will pretty much make a forth shot a flyer. I had to stick to 3 shot groups and let her cool down really good between groups. The rifle was well made and my experience with Kimber customer service was great.

Recoil? It was probably a little more than my heavy Cooper but I try not to pay too much attention to recoil. I would be more concerned with being steady in the wind with such a light rifle.

          You made a good choice!

Good info fellas. I was looking for a light rifle and expect the recoil due to not having any weight behind it. I plan on a scope in the 1k range. Either Zeiss or a Swarovski. Not a target turret type just good Magnification and quality. Any suggestions?

My buddy has the said rifle he just bought in a 308. It kicks so hard that it flattens the nose of the bullets in the magazine . Good luck with the 300 lol. Something about the Kimber design or stock though seems to take some of the felt recoil out. It shoots really really well for a stock rifle though.

On the scope, I just bought my first Huskemaw and so far it's bar none my favorite. It's as clear as the swarovski's and has several cool features.

I am running Leupold 2.5X8 scopes on mine. I wanted a lightweight scope. It wouldn't make sense to me putting a big heavy honking scope on this type rifle. Although the triggers are adjustable mine have a decent amount of creep and grittiness that needs to be addressed. I good crisp trigger is more important than a big scope.
