    Hunting in CO

What all is involved in being able to? My wife's uncle has a buddy with a ranch in Craig and has a spot open for a 5 day hunt during the 2014 black powder elk season. The only cost to me would be fuel to get there and the license/tag. From what I understand, lodging, meals and processing is all covered.

I have a Rossi with the interchangeable barrels for .270 and .50 cal. Think it's sufficient?

Just a newbie at out of state hunting, but I don't think I want to pass this opportunity up.

Need a Hunter's Ed certificate. That's a draw tag unless he's got land owner permits....need to apply by April 1st deadline.

Thanks. Yea, looking at that now. Looks like I might have to wait for the 2015 season.

Better check your ML to make here CO is okay with it. They restrict what type ML you can use.

Not many restrictions on ML TYPE, BUT during the ML season no optics, pelleted powder, or sabots may be used.
Power Belts, Triple 7, and open sights are the poison of choice for locals during the ML season
