Saw something about 8:46. It was traveling from east to west slightly in the southern hemisphere. I viewed it for about 2 seconds as it traveled about 75 degrees around the horizon. It had a tail and it eventually burned out.

That was my American Flight into Houston! It felt like it was on fire and we hit every turbulence pocket known to man. -

Saw it leaving restaurant with wife. It kinda wiggled.
When we got home, daughter and her friend said they saw it and it was a slow moving shooting star.Comment

For a second I thought a neighbor was shooting a bottle rocket over me. We live a pretty good ways from city lights and see shooting stars all the time. I have never seen one last this long. I had enough time to say "what the h___" , jump up, run about 8 steps to make sure I didn't loose it behind the trees and then it burned out.Comment

Meteor...my daughter and I saw one a couple of weeks ago over Garland. We saw it "burn" for a good 6-7 seconds. Several people talked about seeing it on FB. That's the first one I've ever seen. It looks nothing like a shooting star, trust me.Comment
