Who's crappie fishing with some success?

Not me. Been hitting DFW area creeks at least every other day for about 3 wks. Still a little cold. They should be staging and starting the creek spawn any day now. Tempted to take the boat out and try shallow tomorrow but I'm afraid if I do that they will be in the creeks...and I can't get into them w the boat.

Dang sure wish I was...all my spots are about 100 yards out of water need some rain bad.... Prolly wont be no "thump" around here this year.

I have caught a few nice ones up in the shallows but mostly just throwbacks. The water temp is about 66 degrees so a few more warm days and they should spawn .

We did good on Bastrop lake 3 weeks ago. Left with 9 keepers.

I talked with a couple guides on lake fork this last week. they said they were catching
two and half pounders in the shallows. I should of fished for them cause the bass had lockjaw!

My dad and uncle are at Fork under the 515 bridge and have 29 keepers. They have been there since 8pm yesterday.

There was a crappie tournament at Fork last weekend and some nice slabs caught

it was based in lake fork marina. we were there but not crappie fishing.

I'm hoping to head to the camp this eve so if it storms tomorrow it's my fault. Last two trips fished a couple hours caught a few and the next day get rained out or it was too cold for little man. I've been twice and had about a dozen keepers both times. This was my first Fork crappie of the year. Good way to start anyhow!

Even landed a couple good bass last trip on 1/16 oz jigs and 6lb line.
