    Anderson Bean Soles

I have a pair of AB's that are looking like they need new soles. The plastic bottoms have finally worn through and is coming apart.
Have any of you had any re-soled? Do you use a local boot repair guy, or send them back to AB for new factory soles. I honestly think these soles are some of the best I've had as far as longevity. I wear them every day and I think they have lasted me a year.

I've had two pair resoled and have a pair in the shop right now. I used a guy in Texarkana for the first two and am using a local guy for this pair... we'll see. All three of mine are leather soled with a "rubber" heel cap.

It is SOOOOOOOOO hard to find a good cobbler! I have resoled many boots, and never realized how good our local cobbler was till he retired. Last 5 or so pair(3different places), have been almost unwearable.

If you send them back to AB, see if they will put the new Smack Down sole on your boots. They are awesome, more comfortable than the factory leather, and have a conveyor belt sewn into the sole for comfort. You can still dance and ride in them too. If you don't know a guy who will re-sole that does a good job, beware, because some take forever and some don't do a good job. I send mine back to AB, just see what kind of time line you are looking t first.

Unless AB will resole them for free I dont see any advantage in sending them off.

I got my boots resoled here in the woodlands almost a year ago. I wear them every day and I'm just now getting a spot on the right one where the first layer of the sole is wearing through.
I figure I have 3 or 4 months left before they need to be resoled again.

It was 100 bucks and it took them 2 days.

I'm pretty sure I had them resoled in April last year.

My AB's were very loud. I had a local shop remove the hard heel cap and replace it with a softer vibram cap. It made a huge difference. I haven't needed new soles yet but can't imagine any sole making them "more" comfortable.

I've had mine done twice now. Just got them back last week. Had the cleaners do them by our old office.

I have used the guy in tomball before. Right there on 2920 at the rail road with good success. From the looks of it AB takes months. Don't think I want to wait that long...unless I wear tennis shoes and shorts to work all summer. Oh wait, I do that anyway

I've always let Johnny's boot repair in Tyler do mine

Send them back to AB for sure. I had mine redone after 5 years and they came back looking like new. I had them redo everything, whichever option that is. I also wrote in the I wanted the Hybrid Soles which have the rubber where my boots had worn out.

When I got them back they literally looked and felt new. They were firm again and not all stretched out.

                              Trujillo's in Floresville, TX

Only two places I trust with my boots

Had one too many pairs of boots ruined by other cobblers
