Yes, the heater I have is maybe 6 inch heater element with a fan on it and it keeps it very toasty. I was really surprised how well it holds heat in the winter and how easy to cool during the summer. One thing to keep in mine that no one has pointed out, the fiberglass insulation air will move through it and the foam board air will not move through it. As long as you keep gaps to a minimum it will be fine. The can spray foam I used really was not hold it in place as much as it was to make sure I did not have very many gaps that the air could blow through. Also I would not worry about the 1 1/4 gap much, if air is not blowing through it the gap acts like insolation as well. Just think when you are sitting on a deer stand the top of your thighs will get colder than the rest of your legs. Why? Because your pants are tight against your legs, if you pull them away from your legs it is not as cold. Same principal as the gap in the wall. I hope I made some kind of sense.

Everyone likes the spray in insolation and it is better, but I know from experience on a project like this cost is a big factor. If you go the best route on everything you will have a few grand invested and the goal was to have a solid camp at a lower price. I like your project and you are doing everything right IMO.

Also you would be amazed how little insolation is in RV's.

Awesome. I'll go with the 3/4 foam board. I've been checking it daily for light showing thru to be sure I've got it air tight. It will be completely sealed before I start on the inside. I don't want any surprises later down the road.
