To really see how dry it is. This past weekend we were down at the ranch for a family reunion. Wifes great Uncle had Larry Holt to come out Sat. morning to give all the kids Helicopter rides. Larry does a lot of cattle work for us and he comes out twice a year to do deer surveys. Great guy and great pilot. We went up and man is it dry. Really see the effects on the lakes and water sheds. Wveryone of them are at around 20% capacity. The new lakes that we had built have just puddles. We did see a few deer and some sorry old hogs. My little 3.5 year old, who was sitting in my lap in the front seat, said "Daddy I think lost my tummy". She had a ball and giggled the whole time. Sorry no pics.

I need to become somewhat profficennt with a camera. Bought a digital from Bowvista and haven't really taken the time to figure out how to work. Don Comedy is suppose to show me the finer points on picture taking and teach me how to post a picture.
We have a fair amount of grass and the brush still looks good from the spring rains. We just didn't get any runoff rain to fill the lakes. July and august are going to be long and tough if we don't get some relief.
