Has anyone had this done? Did it help? What was the cost? Was it worth it? I have another option avaliable which is to spray foam on the interior of my roof, which do you think would be better? Thanks for any info.

I can tell you with new construction radiant barrier makes a big difference (products like Tech Sheild and Kool Ply) I can walk a house under construction that has a RB intalled and it is noticeably cooler than one with out. I have also been considering having my house retro fitted with the new spray in RB. It is the metal particles suspended in the paint the reflect the heat away much like the metal surface on Tech Shield works. I have not heard about the foam sprayed on.

Like bows, guns and women.......you're going to get 10 different responses from 30 different guys.
From what i've researched, you don't want to use any foam here in Texas unless you live in a normally "dry" area. Radiant barriers, whether sprayed in or sheeted in, seem to be the best route. The sprayed in barriers appear to block ~20% less than the sheets......but you might not realize the cost savings of sheets over spray for a number of years.....

The foam insulation rocks!

My company does energy audits as part of our design service, but you are just a little bit out of my area.
