Is it just me? I've never understood the thought process of getting out of the vehicle when pulled over unless asked to by the officer. I'm sorry, but when you get out of your car on a traffic stop....you automatically put the cop on alert.

Sucks no matter what, bad situation all around, but please folks, when pulled over, stay in the car until told otherwise.

I've often wondered why this is not part of the driving test. I've never seen an official statement regarding this from any law enforcement agency.
