Spray in Liner Recommendation

I'm going to spray-in bedliner my ranch truck - The whole truck, not just the bedliner.

I've been looking at buying the materials and doing it myself, but I wanted to see if anybody else had done anything similar and how it turned out.

Anybody have someone they could recommend that may do it for a fair price? I've called a couple places and gotten rough quotes of $2k to do the truck. At that price, I could buy the DIY kits and save a ton of money. I'm not scared of a little elbow grease, and it's a ranch ride, not a daily driver.

Any advice, recommendations, do's, don'ts, etc. before I jump in head first?

FYI, the truck is a 93 Chevy Z-71. Single cab, short bed.

You will not get " protection " from a do it your self kit.
If your going for looks alone, sure a kit will work.
A real bed liner will protect against dents, rust etc because it is 1/8- 1/4" thick.
Kit will be paint thick.
I used to spray vortex and it is as good as line X

2k estimate is about right......good materials cost a lot of money

I'm looking for something more durable than paint. The paint is scratched all to hail and back from the mesquite. I'm not so concerned with dents - If I hit something out there, it's going to dent it with or without the bedliner because whatever I hit will be solid. The ranch is in Rocksprings, so it's mesquite and rocks. They'll dent through bedliner...

I'm mainly wanting to protect the truck from rusting. The original paint is all scratched up and the clear coat/paint is starting to peel in spots. The truck isn't rusty yet, and that's my main concern. I don't want it rotting.

My opinion is I can buy the DIY kit, spray gun, etc and do several coats and still save over $1k.

Watching this, I have a buddy that has an old Willis jeep he use to use at the Callaghan ranch and said he would sell me for $1000.

Here's a few I've done with monstaliner. Very durable. These were both sprayed on. I wouldn't even consider trying to roll it on.

A lot of that depends on what kit you use. Lots of good kits on the market just gotta know which ones. I will vouch for monstaliner. After 3 light coats its around 1/8" thick and eliminated the light hail damage my jeep had without body work. I plow thru cedars and once rinsed it shows 0 scratches and water still beads off it like its been waxed. Very easy to clean which is a big concern with a lot of the other liners.

Exterior and inside of bed I'd say it'll take 3 gallons so around 40 pounds or slightly less. No where near enough to be concerned.

I have used this stuff on boats & trucks , It's pretty easy to use. You can get clear that you add color pigment to any color you want or just use the black, It's very inexpensive also do a search on eBay for raptor liner !

Regardless, I'll take pics of how everything goes. I have new front & back bumpers to build as well as a new high rack for the back with some LED lighting.

I have my bumpers done with this stuff and it looks good. But rocks from the highway are eating up the front it but they have my windshield also. DO NOT put it on plastic what ever you do!
