    John Daly shoots 90

John looked like a lot of us hacks out there today! He took a 12 on par 4 #16!

John Daly shot 90 on Friday in the second round of the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship, buffeted by an 8-over 12 at the par-4 16th hole at the Copperhead course.

I used to really enjoy watching Daly play...might be time to hang em up tho...

He's been hanging on because of sponsor exemptions for the last 10 years, simply because he's a name. He certainly no longer has marketable game. He's just taking up a spot in the field, that an up & coming pro, could put to better use.

Sometimes you to face the facts.. you're too old to rock... although he had a deal going with those loud pants... maybe he's still making a few bucks with that??

I bad day of golf is always better than a good day at work!

Guys, he was good for a 90 or better back in the day. He has always had blow up rounds, even when he was playing better. I still like him. He was good for golf but was a train wreck far to long.

            John drinks Daly

Edit.... Not that there is anything wrong with that

He is a huge draw with the fans. He plays his best golf while he's drunk.

              Had surgery this winter.

"I was going to Indonesia, but since they can't find a 777," he said, shaking his head as his voice trailed off. "I ain't about to fly on a plane right now.

Coming from an avid golfer I will give him props for not dropping out like Tiger, when the round starts going bad.

He is still a blast to watch because his give-a-$h!tter is way broke!!

He's done his share of that.

Tiger at least feigns back injury... Daly once at Kapalua, just picked up his ball and said *** it, I'm outta here.

Still a fun guy to watch live. Wish he'd hit a few more balls off tallboy cans before he hangs it up!

Pretty sure he does not drink anymore and has got his act together.. Still smokes cigs, but does not drink.. At least that was correct a couple years back.

"I got two good drops and hit a heel-cut 3-wood into the water," he said. "Then I shanked a 7-iron, chili-dipped a chip, it was buried, didn't get that out. ... It was a good 12. I got up-and-down for 12."

                          Great attitude

i followed him when he played at the Valero open last year, he is still very fun to watch and can still play well but in this day and age you have to play out of this world to be competitive.
                            Everyone has off days.
