I'm in need of a new phone. My current Original Droid RAZR has been on its last leg for a while now.

Must haves:
1. Long battery life
2. Great Sevice 3G -4G LTE

The rest is just cake. Id like it to be bigger than the razr, but Id compromise for battery life and connectivity in remote places (deer lease)

Samsung galaxy 3 or 4 cant remember the latest but supposedly one of the best, My wife had the galaxy 2 and i think she loved it more than me!!

just get one that's popular, i.e. one of the galaxy phones, or the HTC etc.. there are a lot of cases out with a built in battery to recharge your phone. they have a lot of aftermarket items but only for the popular phones.

personally i have the note 3. does everything well but the size throws off most people.

If you're looking for battery life and want bigger I'd consider the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or perhaps the HTC One Max. They're both huge devices (aka, Phablets [Half phone, half tablet])...but all that extra case size makes room for larger batteries that make the phone last a lot longer.

If you are considering the S4 you might wait a couple months. I think the S5 is scheduled to be released in April. Getting your hands on one in April and May could be difficult though unless you pre-order. Just letting you know so you know all your options.

Hold out for the S5 if you can. S4 & S4 active are awesome. The trade off for the waterproof, shockproof, dust proof S4 active is that they give you a 8 mega pixel camera instead of the 13 megapixel on the standard s4. S5 will have it all, plus a 16 megapixel camera and they are doing away with all the nonsensical features found on the S4.
