He looks closer to 500 in that pic. His hoofs and tail are dragging and the hunter is not to far back.
    That is a big pig.

Something does lot look right about that pic.

Look at where the hog is tied to the spreader bar. That bar would be sticking straight up and down it seems.

I tried eating my biggest boar (300lbs) and it was super tough and gamey even after "washing" the meat like I do all my animals by icing for a week with drain open to bleed it out.

I have been in the same boat but mine was fine and lots of meat in the freezer. I really have come to believe its all about what they eat. All the hogs on my lease raid the pins so they eat corn and protein not road kill.

Only good thing about that would be that more people would finally wake up to what a menace these things really are.
Go find and watch the movie Razorback filmed in Australia,

I refused to watch the video because of the 30 seconds commercial you're forced to view. There are so many rumors flying around about how much hogs weigh. Nobody ever shows the hog on a scale.

Maybe Sheila Jackson Lee read the scale

Gambrels is typically 20" across and his head dwarfs it and like was said previously it would seem the gambrels would be streight up n down it is a big pig though, id say 380

If that's the case, that puts the hog at about 90" from base of tail to snout.

yeah that is funny. I'm just tired of hoaxing. I shoot a 500lb'er I'm gonna include some kinda certified scale. If he got it that far in the pic you could of put it in a truck to some kinda scale. I keep getting email forwards from people on this one.

Where would one find a legit scale? feed store? I don't think you can have it at a real meat place for sanitation right?
