    OSB 1/4 or 7/16 ??

I am insulating the walls and ceiling of the storage building at the farm.

It will be climate controlled and used mainly for storage.

It will also have freezer, small refrigerator, and a work table

Going to to use barn tin on the ceiling.

Using either 1/4 or 7/16 inch OSB for the walls to cover the insulation.

Nothing will be hung from the wall unless it goes into a stud.

    Price is almost the same.

I normally work along, so weight is a big factor when I do thing.

The 1/4 inch will be much easier to work with.

I want the 1/4 inch but leaning toward the 7/16 because the walls are 24 inch on center. It will take 18 sheets to do all the wall.

    Just would like some input.

    Thanks

    7/16

I believe with 24" centers you will eventually have a dip in the osb between the studs ( waves)

I went with 7/16 on my storage sheds. If I need to hang something on the walls I don't absolutely have to hang it on a stud. I also highly recommend painting the walls white. I used oil base KILZ. One shed is 24 X 36 and another is 10 x 14.

        7/16 would be my choice.

I did not think about the painting. But should be easy to do.

7/16". The 1/4" will probably be wavy between 24" OC studs and definitely more susceptible to breakage.

7/16 will also help with the insulation and i think 1/4 will get wavy too
