My mom called me last night to tell me that a close family friend died from a brain aneurism. She was in her 40s, and in good health. It struck real close to home since I survived the same thing a few years back. This is going to get real redneck; Cathy was my mom's, cousin's, ex-husband's girlfriend.
I just got off the phone with her again. Her first words were "I can't believe I'm calling you with the same news two days in a row". My heart sank as I was sure she was going to say someone in our immediate family had died. Her boyfriend's son was found dead, in a ditch, sometime this morning. I'm almost certain that his lifestyle contributed, but it doesn't make it any easier for his dad.
If you have a second, send up a prayer of comfort for Cathy's family and friends, and Caleb's family and friends.
