    26" or 28" shotgun barrel?

Going to buy either the Stoeger m3000 or the m3500. I have two 870's one with a 26"and one with a 28" barrel. I seem to shoot better with the 26". What do yo guy's prefer? Will be used mostly for dove but turkey and may someday gease.

Yep I shoot a 28" 90% of the time but do equally well with a 26".

I've got a 26 in OU with is great for field hunting. I like a 28 for ducks. However, my duck gun is a 26" and serves its purpose well.

I've always shot a 28". Never felt right with a 26" for some reason unless it's an OU. Shoot what feels comfortable IMO.

Another vote for 28"! Even my coyote gun, with a mag extension, is a 28"

28" for doves and 26" for quail.

You can get tight patterns or wide open with a 28" but it does give you more velocity. I would go with a 28" but it is what you like. Reselling the 28" is more popular but they make a 26" because some people want those also.

I have both and the 26" just seems easier to swing.

I like 28"... just because I've always shot 28". 26 does feel faster swinging, but kinda jerky, I'm sure i could get used to it.

Shoot what feels right to you.
