    Idiot Move

Was messing around and dry fired my new Bear Authority by accident. Felt like a noob. I should know better. My nock flew off, but the limbs and string look ok. Tomorrow, at the bow shop, we shall see...

You won't be the first or last. My buddy did it to his wife's carbon rose before she ever shot it.

Happened to my brand new Hoyt Vipertech by the guy who got me into bow hunting.

Happened last week when my fiancés brother picked up her new bow. Right before turkey season, that girl was seeing red.

Did it to an 82nd airborne several years ago. Sounded like a gun shot. Both cams were angled so bad afterwards I couldn't draw the bow because they were against the limbs. Doh !

I spoke to Parker Bows and they indicated there really isn't any damage, maybe they build a great product. I think the older wooden limbs that were laminated would be destroyed but modern limbs it doesn't hurt. I still wouldn't do it, but think you are fine.

Sorry sir but Parker bows told you incorrectly. I see one or two a week. Cracked limbs, derailed strings/cables, bent cams, broken strings etc...

Now I'm not talking about a Parker but ALL the others will do it. Not sure why a Parker wouldn't.
