Luke Bryan at Rodeo???

I've got 4 tickets to Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo the only available evening I had- Monday March 17th. Luke Bryan is the performer.

Now I will show my age and ignorance. I'm not familiar with current generation of rising country singers. My generation was George Strait, Allen Jackson, Toby Keith etc. but my wife and I could use the time together if this guy is talented.

Can somebody tell me if this guy is worth fighting the traffic and parking headaches, or should I let my sons have them?

Man bud in my personal opinion, if you like George Strait and Alan Jackson music, you are going to dislike Luke Bryan music. I know I do! Just search "I've got that real good, feel good, stuff." Gives you an idea of what he's all about. Yuck!

Country music today is a joke. I'm an oldies fan but occasionally listen to todays Country.

Luke Bryan is a great singer and he does have a few songs that are some of my favorite for todays country. Every other artist right now is producing the same thing when it comes to Trucks, Beer, Girls. I disagree with the comment above about him singing through his nose. Rascall Flats will give you a perfect example of that.

He is active and I bet will put on a heck of a show.

Anything is worth time alone with the wife no matter.

I've seem him a couple times at the rodeo. He puts on a good show. You should check out his song "Drink a Beer". Pretty good story behind it and it'll give you a pretty good idea of what he is about.

The one thing to rember, the sound at the rodeo sucks so don't expect too much and I wouldn't judge anyone off how they sound there. I go to several shows a year at the rodeo and really they all sound bad it's just too big of place.
