Then new Tmobile is awesome. I was with Verizon for 8 years, both phone and working there. I can tell you this now moving over, All Verizon and ATT do is make your perception of the "network" better than it really is through huge marketing spend. No provider is 100% covered, it defies the technology vs. the cost at this point being that it is line of sight.

I have had TMobile for almost 10 years or so. I recently got a smartphone after being in the dark ages with my trusty old "dumb" flip-phone. I never really had too many problems with service on the flip phone, but I live in the Dallas area. When I got my smartphone (a Galaxy Samsung S2) I had trouble with coverage until I figured out I could switch from 4G to 2 or 3G. Once I switched to 2 or 3G, coverage greatly improved to how it was with my old flip phone.
I will say that out in rural areas away from big cities I sometimes had trouble with coverage, even with the old flip phone. And I always had trouble with coverage at my Dad's house in Biloxi, MS and my sister's house in Mobile, AL. They have AT&T and always have coverage. My daughter has AT&T but has trouble with coverage in her house in Pensacola, FL, so go figure.

Forgot to say, the only other company I've been with is Sprint. I switched from Sprint to TMobile for various reasons at the time, one of which is that, for some reason, I started having trouble paying my Sprint bill online. I haven't had any problems paying my TMobile bill online. It's been awhile since I've been with Sprint, though, and I'm sure their online payment system has improved since I was last with them.
The other reason is that I sometimes had coverage problems at my house with Sprint, but have never had trouble with coverage at my house with TMobile. It's been a long time since I was with Sprint, though, so I'm guessing coverage may have improved, unless maybe it was the phone I had?
Also, TMobile seems to have more of the little local stores than Sprint, or at least that's what I've noticed when it comes to stores near where I live.
All in all, I'm happy with my TMobile phones and service, but I don't have anything else to really compare other than my experience with Sprint many years ago.

Thanks guys
I have been with Verizon 13 years, like everyone else I experienced some dead spots where my buddies at&t worked and vise versa.
Think I'm gonna give TMobile a try. If I read it right, I can cancel within 14 days without any penalties. Just gotta make sure I can get my old number back in case I have to suck it up and crawl back to Verizon
I'll be reporting on my satisfaction.
