    Sporting Clays Anyone?

Anyone in the Houston area interested in a round of clays during the day on Friday (3/7)? Say around noon? I've shot Gun Emporium and Creekwood here in Conroe. I'm interested in trying Clay Mound over in Liberty, but am game for anyplace within roughly an hour of Conroe.

      Bump

The weather looks to be perfect. 66* and partly cloudy. Not too hot and won't have to battle the sun too much.

Can't make it, but curious about Creekwood. I've never shot sporting clays before and wondered how they handle newbies. Do they send someone with you to launch the clays or are you in controll of when they fly? Might be a dumb question, but I just don't know.

At clay mounds, if you pay for a round they give you a card you slide in the throw controllers. It would be hard to do solo, but with at least two shooters you are good to go. The card allots for whatever amount of clays you buy. You could burn them all up at one station or make the circuit.

Pm matador and see if he will meet you. He shoots at houston gun club. He may join you. I would but I am traveling.

Thanks. I'm gonna give it a go in the coming weeks.

We shoot at Clay Mounds every Sunday weather permitting. If I wasn't leaving for Bownanza Friday I would shoot a round with ya.

Man I've never even hear differently this place. I'd definitely like to go. Haven't shot clays or skeet or whatever in probably 20 years but it just sounds too much fun not to do

Can't speak about whether or not they will send someone along for newbs, but I really enjoyed their course. I have a pretty accommodating schedule, if you need someone to pull for you let me know.
