I need a passport in the next 2 months.I don't have my birth certificate,and my parents don't have it either.I was born in Dallas County,but I don't think the hospital even exists anymore…Do I need to get in touch with the courthouse? If so,which one? Been awhile since I've dealt with a court in Dallas Co.(thank goodness) just trying to keep from being on the phone all day.Thanks for your help in advance.

You need to get the passport expedite form checked off and pay the extra $$$ on this once you gather up info if your window is already 2 months...trust me I know.Comment

When I had to get a Passport replaced I just googled the State's perspective site and found the number. It cost $15 to have one sent.Comment

go to the courthouse or an county annex building to get the birth cert. you will be able to get it that day for about $25. but 8 weeks may not be enough time to process the pass port. either pay to expedite the process or go to the federal courthouse and get it that day. i think it costs a little more to git r dun in one day and you may be there all day, but at least you will have the pass port in hand on time.Originally posted by Hart8 View PostComment
