    Cold and Squirrels

24 degrees and the squirrels as usual are taking over the bird feeders in back. Found a new way to pass the time with CHEAP ammo and it sharpens my eye for a quick shot. I hit 'em in and when they run across a big branch for safety I keep on jacking one in and firing with them jumping, running to the big ole' cedar next to the oak. Have not put one down for the count, but the ole' Daisy and BBS are giving 'em fits! Just saying...fun and cheap to keep the reflexes ready for the next time pig hunting on the run!

Just so you are aware, a Squirrel is a game animal in Texas... it is illegal to shoot game animals with an air gun. Not sure what county you are in, but you might ought to check for a season/bag limit on them too...

Meh. I'll take my chances with the little tree rats that keep getting in my attic.

Different story there. They're causing damage... Just to shoot 'em with a BB gun... well in this day and age, stuff we used to do as kids will get you locked up what with all the bunny (or squirrel) huggers we got out there. Don't disagree it'd be fun, but putting it up on the 'net... well...

Well Slick, I spent a LOT of years enforcing the law and I'm the LAST one to put something on the "net" as you put it that MAY OR MAY NOT be illegal!! I kind of enjoy this site and really just want to continue to enjoy it. Lighten up, ok? If I knew how to delete a post I would JUST to not offend anyone.

It is being discussed. Don't think it is law yet.

They are a game animal in every county in Texas...

Just because it isn't listed under the county doesn't mean its not a game animal. If that were the case, there would be many counties where deer weren't game animals.
