    Sundance Square

As many of you know I have been going thru some legal battles over the last year. Criminal side was no billed, but the civil side is still piling up. On top of that I am fighting the city to get my job back thru arbitration. Needless to say I have exhausted most of my savings and sold my house to stay afloat. It has been hell on my family, but my wife has stood by me and been a trooper all the way. I have turned my life and everything that goes on to God (best decision I have made). And, I trust that his will, will be done.

On that note, my sister and brother in law invited us up to their house in Aledo for a get away this weekend. It ended up they had put us up in the Omni downtown in sundance square. Paid for our meals and gave us some spending money........just to get away. Yes, I cried like a big baby! My question is, what is fun for my wife around here. She is getting a manicure and pedicure right now. We are supposed to ea

Eat at Michaels tonight? Any suggestions there? What can we do to have a little cheap fun till then as well.
And as always, please keep us in your prayers over the next few months. It is about to really pile up on us.

    Thanks to all,
    Casey

Just go down to sundance square and watch the people - there is a nice fountain there and with the warm weather there will be plenty of people just hanging out. It's a real nice urban park type area (no grass but the have a fountain and really cool lighting).

Flying saucer is on the northeast corner - sit at the picnic tables and enjoy a drink.

Michaels is top notch - everything on the menu is great.

Or head down to Whiskey & Rye in the Omni hotel (Houston st across from the convention center). Not your typical hotel bar - reasonable drinks an I believe Matt Barron is playing acoustic tonight. He's awesome and the place is still quiet enough to talk to everyone at your table

If your headed to Sundance Square right now, you'll see the "Open Carry" crowd down there walking around w/ rifles. There are about 15-20 of them. They're scheduled to be done w/ their demonstration at 2:00 pm...just an FYI. Also, they have caused no problems.

I shook their hands and let them know I am from Temple Tx, was a Temple cop, and support their cause.
