    Waco RV Park?

My son has a baseball tournament in Waco at River Bend Park Baseball Fields (901 Lake Shore Dr) on March 16-17 and I'm looking for a nice RV park nearby to drag my travel trailer to. Pull through spots would be nice, 30amp service w/water is a must. I looked a little bit and found Midway Park on the south end of the lake, but I know nothing about it.

    Suggestions, please!

I would recommend Speegleville 1st & Midway 2nd. Speegleville is a little easier to get set up and a little newer. We stay there often.

Tonkowa Park in Crawford is pretty nice too. It's not too far from riverbend either. Lake Waco is closer though.

Thanks, but that's on the other side of the lake from where I need to be.

Anyone know about Airport Park on the north end of the lake?

Yes, I know, but it really isn't far. I haven't been to airport park a whole lot, but it has a bad reputation for not having the best kind of campers over there. I've been a few times to visit folks and it isn't nearly as "comfortable" as the south side of the lake.

Airport is my 1st choice but it usually stays booked

Midway is good and on the good side of town. I don't go over to Airport Park much but I would think the time of year you are going that there won't be much riff raff hanging around. Now if your bringing your crappie rod you need to go to Reynolds Creek.

Well....all the Corps parks near the lake are booked up. I've contacted North Crest RV Park and Flat Creek Farms RV Resort about possible vacancy for that weekend. Any opinions about them?

North Crest is going to be a pain with all the construction on 35. I don't know anything about Flat Creek Farms.

I am not familiar with Flat Creek but that is a nice safe area. Let me know if you have any other questions.

My dad used to keep a 5th wheel at North Crest. He would be there during the week and sometimes I would come there during the weekend up from Randolph. I personally didn't care for the guy who ran it.

Flat Creek is fairly new and right across the highway from my house, but I've never been there.

Airport park wasn't bad. Only a few full hookup sites if you care about sewer hook ups book early. They do have a community bathroom with showers. Nothing fancy but flushes and washes the dirt off your back side...

I'd book Airport if I were you. In fact reminds me to book there for early this summer. We like to go there then go to Hawaiian Falls water park for the day.

Looks like we'll be staying at Flat Creek. I spoke to the lady yesterday.

Airport was my first choice since it was on the lake and about 2 miles from the ballpark we'll be at all weekend, but they were booked up for that weekend.
