I have a breed ram that is having a hoof problem. We have not darted him to see what the issue is but I figured I would see if anyone knew of some remedies or medications that can help.

If he has Banana hooves (founder) - I don't know of a way to solve for it outside of darting and trimming the hooves. Unfortunately many animals that get banana hooves the pedical grows down into the hoof which may make it impossible to trim. Plus no guarantee it won't grow back.Comment

One of our yearling bucks developed an absess in his hoof. Had to dart him and basically shave the hoof all the way to the quick and treat the absess. Pretty intense. How is your breeding operation going?Comment
