    22-250 Ruger American reviews.

I am wanting to buy a coyote gun, and the Ruger American seems to be a good choice in a 22-250 caliber. My question is if it's a good gun? What's y'all's reviews?

I have one in 270 and love the gun. Granted its not a browning A bolt or any of the high dollar guns but it still shoots great and for the money you get a nice gun. Mine shoots a tighter group than my Win model 70 does. I wouldn't think twice about buying another one.

It's a Ruger. I have no experience with the American, but with all the amazing firearms from Ruger I've owned, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase an American.

I would look into the Savage Axis as well, as their known for good accuracy

        Good luck

I have a savage model 10 predator in 22-250 and love it. You might look at those as well.

I have thought about a savage, but for the price of the American, I'd rather save a few bucks.

I did end up buying the ruger, and I love it! It feels great but I haven't got to shoot it yet cause the scopes in the mail.

I have a few rugers and they all shoot well. I do not have the amrican, but I would assume that it will do the job. The 22-250 is a good round, but I would rather have something like the 223. My reasoning for this is, that the 223 is more available and cost less to shoot. It is very accurate and the recoil and noise level us less than the 22.250.
Now I am not down playing the 22.250, because it will do what you want very well. So if you don't mind the extra noise and dealing with more powder then the 22.250 would be an excellent choice. Good luck on your choice of weapons and calibers, and enjoy.

Like the new trigger they have on the Americans and for 350$ I don't think you can go wrong

Glad to hear a few folks like this gun. I am considering an American in .308. I want a "work gun", one that will stay in the mount on the handlebars of my 4wheeler pretty much at all times. ie: it will get dirty and take some abuse. Will be looking into the compact version very soon. Keeping a gun in the gun boot is just not working for quick access when I run up on a group of hogs.

I bought a compact American in a 7mm-08. It shoots way better than I do. I say go for it.

I just got my scope in yesterday, and took it out to shoot today. Im very impressed with how accurate it is. This is my first group at 100yrds, with 9mph wind.

This is about all I had to compare it to.
