    Signs of Spring...

Anyone seeing signs of Spring yet?

Down around my parts, my apple tree is in full bloom and my peach & plum trees are starting to bud out. Spent all day outside yesterday doing yard work and woke up this morning and my head feels like it is full of pollen.

Any signs of the mesquites budding out down south? Probably too early for that.

I sure hope the frost doesn't get the mayhaw blooms it's been 3 years since we had a good crop of berries . The rescue grass is starting to grow and the clover is blooming too.

I had a good crop in my lease in the Neches river bottom in 2012 but last year not one single berry, frost got em all.

Most of my trees are in the open . 2011 was a good spring for us . I'm out of jelly so I hope to get some more this year . I have a bunch of huckleberry trees too .

Mesquites haven't budded yet, but the mountain laurel is starting to bloom along with other brush. Some of the wild flowers have started to bloom a few days ago, and if we get this rain later this week things will really brighten up down here.

In the hill country, the redbuds are starting to bloom, and the elbow brush has been budded for weeks.
