350 for install isnt bad. Does the front door have a cover over it to help keep weathet off of it? Thats where you sacriface quality on big box stores products is the frame. Ive installed more doors than I can remember and if you were closer I could help save you some money. The wife is actually picking out our new front door tomorrow

My experience has been that the box store door units are a touch smaller than normal but a good trim man can replace a normal sized door with like kind. I would check out BMC Millwork as suggested and ask for a recommendation for someone to install it for you. If there is another reputable door/window company close you could check them out as well. Good luck.

I would pull the trim off the inside and measure your ruff opening . Then take those measurements to the door company and they will build your door jambs accordingly . It is real hard to plumb and level a door if you don't have proper clearance . With the right door installation is a easy job . If you install it your self make sure you shim it according to the instructions because it can void the warranty if it's not to spec.

And yes I would do exactly what he said. BMC has some good stuff also I would check with ProBuild we always got better prices from them.
