    Generation gap

In the car with the kids, ages 3, 5, and 7. KISS comes on the radio, and my wife cranks it. We're rockin out, and the kids ask what we're doing. After explaining just how cool KISS was waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, I pull up a pic of the band to show them.

Their response was not "awesome!" or "oh yeah that's cool!", but instead...

"why are those boys wearing lipstick?"

Well we tried, but KISS's time has come and gone in our family.

I'm with your kids! Lol! I always wondered about that myself. Shoulda told them, "because they were such ugly guys they needed to hide behind makeup to keep people in the audience long enough to hear their awesomeness!" Lol!

Kids today…. Of course, it took me a while to appreciate Roy Orbison, Marvin Gaye and the Beatles too. As my kids have gotten older, they've come around and appreciate some my kind of music more.
