Good point. I'm almost 35 and don't have mine either...yet. I was actually going to get it this year specifically because of this law. I think having the law is a good way to keep people honest. It keeps short range weapons (pistols) an option for us without tempting otherwise honest folks with more ways to get themselves in trouble. I'm sure it will pass, due to the ambiguity of the current law and the growing popularity of bow hunters.

I just don't like the law because I don't think it does much. If someone is going to poach, they'll do it either way. I personally don't like going into the woods without a handgun, no matter what I'm hunting with. Even if I'm chainsawing, its set next to the gas can. You just never know when you'll need it
