    boating question

So here goes I have a bass jac hydraulic plate on my motor..after my last outing I noticed it wouldnt lift the motor up anymore and it was slammed all the way down!I've checked the fluid its about 3/4 full? Not sure if it need to filled all the way but when I move the handle down it's sounds perfect but when I move it up just a click no movement or anything. Has anyone had this problem before maybe shed some light on what's going on?

Does the hydraulic hold the motor in the down position while backing down? If not, there's a stuck valve and will need replacing. Happened to mine after a winter lay off. Thought it might come undone by itself, but never did.

Either a wiring failure or a bad pump motor are most likely. Check if you are getting voltage to the pump leads first. If that's good. Just take the pump motor off, reconnect the power leads and see if the shaft rotates in both directions when you switch it up and down.

Most likely you have wiring to replace or a pump motor.

      Hope that helps.

        Might be a bad solenoid.

The click is from the relay, try swapping the relays, if it works up and not down just replace the relay, also check the connections to the battery and make sure they are clean.
