well, after thinking about it, I sent the KampRite tent cot back and ordered the all mesh Paha Que Bear Creek Solo Tent. it will be cooler than the other model and it will pack much smaller, and weighs less than half what the KampRite model does. & it will be easy to use in my kayak.

Probably the right choice. You can't beat getting a breeze through it in the summer.
