Anyone ever have this procedure done. Did it help your breathing and sleeping? Was it worth it? Pros and cons

Buddy had it. No more snoring and he says he's never felt so good during allergy season

A good buddy of mine had it done. It helped him breathe and sleep better for sure. I don't know much other then that. I would have to say it was worth it, but I don't know off hand.

Is this like the root-rooter for the sinus passages? I looked into getting it done a while back, but the Dr. I was referred to really turned me off. (Not the procedure itself , just him doing it) I would like to have it done, mostly so I could breathe better while running , or exercising. I definitely have have an obstruction in my sinus area.

Yes, Yes and Yes. Best decision I have ever made. I went from 2-3 days a month of "kill me now" allergies to MAYBE one day a year. Im able to move more air, I sleep better and my quality of life is just flat out better.

I was 50% after 24 hours, 75% after 3 days and from there it took about 2 weeks for me to be back to 100%

Very timely thread, I am considering this myself. Sounds like it works very well.

Best choice ever! 3-4 days post-op when the splints are pulled out and you take that first big inhale through your nose...what have I been missing?

No more snoring. Wake up feeling rested and not exhausted like before.

                        Highly recommend! LASIK is next

Stopped my snoring and I sleep better. They determined this was a major sleep issue for me during a sleep study. They also determined I do not have sleep apnea. Although because of my snoring that was the first thing they suspected.

The one draw back is now my allergies are worse. I guess before the pollen and dust couldn't get in there. Now it can! I take allergy medications and I can honestly say breathing and taking allergy meds is a big improvement.

                          No regrets getting it done.

I looked into it but when the doctor said he'd have to re-break my nose I said no thanks. Thats what got me where I am. 5 nose breaks are enough. Guess Ill just stay a mouth breather.
