i'm on my second week of 14 hour days and i havent gotten a day off. We are building engines til the end of the month and my not see any time off unless I get sick or too tired. While the money is welcomed i,m not going to see what its like to spend any of it when my wife gets ahold of it. Time to get something to eat so I survive the next 6 hours here.

I remember doing that back in the day. Long before online banking, direct deposits and such. Sometimes I would have 6 paychecks in my wallet because I was never off when the bank was open. I saved a lot of money that way. Like you said, no way to spend it because it was nothing but work and sleep.

Just an update I'm still on 12 hour shifts but now on days. They added a twist thought for this past weekend. I took my son to a hunters ed course on sat then went to work at another facility our company has for 8 hours then Sunday I worked 8 hours at my normal place then 8 hours at the other. I'm sore , tired and sleepy so I'm on the way home now!Comment
