Well!!!
The weather won! We had 4 days of rain and sleet. Everyone ( four of us ) saw Javelina, and two of us got shots, 35 yrs. plus. The Javelina were spooky as all get out! We saw some deer, lots of birds, and one of our group had a stand off with over 60 illegal's. He counted them as they walked by, the last guy with the foot print branch saw him. Then they all looked at him! He was carrying, but scared the crap out of him anyways!! Only had 3 mags. If you are into bird watching or photography, there were blinds set up just for that!
Tony, the family member who runs the hunts is a great young man, with a good sense of humor, with us he needed it. He was very laid back, and easy to work with. He was always on time to pick us up in the mornings and it didn't take him long to get us when we called for a ride. The lodging was great, 3 bed rooms 3 baths, and 2 of the rooms had twin beds. Everything in the house was very clean and neat. There was every thing in the kitchen that you would need to cook and clean with.
We had a great time at the ranch and had a great hunt, even though we didn't harvest any Javelina at the Tacubaya Ranch !!
