    Knives

Looking at getting a new knife. I really like the idea of the havelon or the outdoor edge with the changeable blades. Mostly for skinning animals and maybe to carry around for work. Anyone have any opinions?

Buddy of mine got the outdoor edge razor knife and he likes it. Have heard better reviews about it over the havalon because it has a better "backbone". It felt better in the hand too.

Havalon hands down for skinning. But i wouldn't use it as a pocket knife

I use a kestrel titanium skeleton that holds a good edge and always in my pack.

Benchmade Mini-Griptilian is pretty awesome. Sharp as heck out of the box and very durable. I've had one for several years now and couldn't be happier. It'll run you right at about $100

I'm a big fan of the Havalon. I prefer the smaller blade for working.

For skinning and dressing animals havalon, for edc and work a case trapper or similar model. I keep both in my pockets. One for the grunt work and one for cutting stuff.
