I had surgery and it was the best thing I ever did. First month of recovery was no picnic but after that I felt great. It's been a year now. Important to find a good surgeon who is experienced in the part of the spine you need help with. A neck guy is not the same as the doc for your lower back. Forget the laser crap - they can't get it all that way and if it works it won't last near as long.

Anywhere near Houston? I went to Bindal Neurosurgical near Memorial on 59. He is the head of Neurosurgery at Memorial-Hermann. He can check you out and recommend the next step. He can do the shots if he feels they will help, or he can do the surgery. My dad also went to him after seeing that my surgery was successful, and he recommended just a good bout of PT, which helped tremendously!
