phantom feeder

Has anyone tried the phantom feeder from moultrie?
I want a quiet feeder but not sure that i want a self feeder. I think the deer like eating off the ground rather than out of a self feeder. I may still end up buildin a self feeder just to see if the bucks will still eat of it.

I bought one last year just because I liked the idea. The deer did come to it but.....I like it when the dinner bell rings. I have it up here near the house in north Texas but to my knowledge the only thing that has found it is the hogs. It's a good concept if you have a small parcell of land and so far it's been reliable, BUT, it is the last one I will buy. Hope this helps
