    UTV Storage

Before I DIY, I plan to build a small lean to style shed to store my UTV. The dimensions of the UTV are approximately 4x8 so planned to build 8x8 or 8x10 at the max. I have a bunch of reclaimed barn tin that isn't perfect but is free for the roof.

For a barn of this size would 4-4x4 posts suffice in the corners with 2x4 joists and 1x4s across to attach the tin, or do I need to step it up? Cheap is important, but it must hold. Was goin to bury 10' posts 3' and 2' to give the appropriate slant?

I also have a bunch of old barn wood in bad shape. If I added a few 1x4 runners to the sides could I use the barn wood for siding, or would 16ga nails not be enough?

I think the 1x4 on the roof for supports for the tin roof will be too weak. Unless you were going to run several 2x4 joist for support. They would be good for the tin and rain, but if we were to get a few inches of snow or some ice, I think it would be too much weight and the roof could possibly collapse

I would use 2x6's for roof joists- 24" centers- and then you can use the 1x4's to nail your tin to.
