We have located what we believe is an indian campsite at our place in bell co. As the crow flies we are no further than 3/4 mile from the gault site. For the past several years we have surfaced hunted only and have been successful and decided to give it a go screening. We screened for 5 hours sat and 3 hours Sunday and these are our finds. Lots of tiny bird points in this camp.

I want to give thanks to Garguy and Johnny for giving us the inspiration to get this going. It was a rough one to get too. Luckily we have the equipment needed. First we had to build a road thru very thick cedar with a dozer just to get to the site and had to clear around 50 cedars at the site. In 2 days we've filled a 5 gallon bucket of flint flakes and have found thousands of snails.

The one I think is a wells was found above the site on a hill top where I believe there quarry was. It was found on the surface in the mix of thousands of flakes. There was only 1" of soil the solid bed rock. I only say wells as that's what it looks like from the book I'm using as a reference. What your thoughts garguy?

Garguy- in this spot it is black soil down 12"-18" then a red clayish soil with a lot of rock. We tried digging down thru the red soil but the flakes and snails disappear. We still have a lot of searching to do as we're not 100% sure were in the right spot. There is 3 draws that come together where were at and a live water spring in the middle draw. Main problem is there is very little clearing and almost all areas have to be cleared of cedars first. We found this spot by pushing over cedars and checking the rootballs for flint and snails.
