We're headed over there tonight to watch the US Women's Soccer team. I typically avoid that side of the metromess, and was wondering if anyone in that area can tell me how the traffic usually is on a Friday night?

If you come up the Sam Rayburn Tollway (121) then it will not be too bad unless there is a wreck.
The only goodthing about tollroads is they usually do not screw around when it comes to clearing lanes. Slow traffic means the spaniards are not making as much of it!
Go east on 20 until you hit 161. Go north on 161 until you get to 35 in Carrollton. Go north on 35 for about 1-2 miles and then take 121 tollraod into Frisco.
I think I have all of the road numbers correct!

That is correct. And then take the Dallas North Tollway north to the Main St. exit in Frisco. Hang a right on Main, the stadium will be on your left.
Traffic should not be too bad.Comment

Depends on what time you plan on arriving.
Between 4 and 6 will be the most congestion.Comment

Just an update, apparently the US Women's Soccer team is a pretty big deal, and causes unusual traffic issues. We missed the first 15 minutes of the game, sitting on the highway for 30 minutes within a mile of our exit.Comment

Ha I just saw this and was about to say something about it. Had no idea about the game and decided to go to dinner at Babes with some friends. Huge surprise to see DNT backed up like that. Ended going up to the eldorado exit and doing a U-Turn.Originally posted by tgil View Post
