It's going to be tough to stand up on any kayak I think.

I did see one on a fishing show that had bouincy arms that you could extend off of the side for balance.

Or you could tie a few dock bumpers on the side of the kayak for extra balance.

To answer your question, I would buy the most stable Jackson. When I was kayak shopping before I bought the boat, they looked to be the absolute best to me. I never got to paddle one though.

To give my opinion, something like the link below would serve you much better. Could get it and a trolling motor (used at least) for less than a nice Jackson setup.

Well I have a boat a buddy gave me for free and am going to try and sell it for 500 or 600 but looks like they cost about double that!

Own a Jackson Cuda, have a standing assits strap, but still you need to practice before you actually feel comfortable. Once you know how much you got on your rocker you will be more comfortable and know your limits before you go flying into the water.

At least look at the Nucanoe. Here is my buddy Tom, 68 yrs. old and he has no problem paddling around standing up in mine.

You can also put up to a 2 1'2 HP put board on it for longer trips.

The Nucanoe Frontier, as mentioned above and shown below is 42' across with lots of footing/standup space. It is heavy, but that is what you want!

If your wanting to bowfish primarily, your better off in wide flat bottom boat (Jon or otherwise)with an elevated platform to shoot from. If you want to kayak fish in stealth for the big females this spring then jump in a Jackson Cuda for a real slayride.......! Good luck chief
