          Those poor little rattlesnakes!

In my yard, I'd kill em too. I don't want my dogs or my wife getting bitten.

I killed a copperhead underneath our porch swing last summer. Walked right by it and THEN saw it. Big rock squish bye-bye!

I could care a less if someone kills a snake or not.
But as outdoors folks we should know how to distinguish between a good or bad snake. Luckily in this part of the country it aint that hard. Forget corral snakes cause they dont have fangs and wont hurt you unless you pick them up and they gnaw on the thin skin between your fingers. Rattlers, cottonmouths and copperheads all have eliptical eyes and pit viper heads. All others have round eyes. Pretty easy stuff.

                It aint that hard.

Hard to tell from the pic what that snake is for me. But here is one that looks pretty dang close that I took, dang near stepped on it. Is a cotton mouth that a lot of folks thought was a copperhead. Cottonmouth looks similar when they are young.

                  Yes.

I'm afraid of running out of beer at camp, the thought of Nancy Pelosi naked, but most of all....nasty *** snakes.

Seriously, you expect me to get close enough to determine if it's eyes are elliptical or round before dispatching. No thanks you can do all the snake hypnosis you want. If it do my part right there won't be enough head left to see an eye let alone the shape.
