    Projectors??

So we're looking at buying a projector for CHL classes. Problem is I have no clue what I'm looking for. Can anybody recommend a good one or at least what to look for?

Trying to stay under $250 for one.

    Thanks!

You wanting to get a good one or just one that works? Might try your local school districts and see if they have an old one laying around you could buy off them for cheap.

kind of tough to get a projector at that price range that will work well unless you have dark room and lots and lots of space or you can put it on the ceiling. Where are you planning on "mounting" it?

Planning on just setting it on a cart or table because we'll be doing classes all over.

How much do I need to pay for a good one?

We plan on getting a pull down screen for it

Look on amazon to get an idea of cost but be sure to get one with at least 2000 lumens if you want to use it in a lit room....anything less will require a darkened room....darkened room = sleepers.

Yup. And you want the native resolution to be at least 1024 x 768.

Plan to spend about $500 for a portable

Here's what I recommend. 2000+ lumen and short throw. If you can't find one at a good price shoot me a pm. I have re-cerctified with same warranty as new for around 500 or so.

Looks like a great deal. Just not wanting to spend that much quite yet. Thanks for posting tho!

Another option would be to buy a T.V. And run your computer into it. It's bigger to haul around but a cheaper alternative.
