my taxidermist said not to use anything oil based.. a damp wash cloth is what i use, i just try to keep mine from getting real dusty.

What is best way to clean/dust a shoulder mount?

Sounds Crazy, but take a piece of white bread & wipe down the cape after dusting. Have done this for years. I talked to the guy that travels around to the Bass Pro Shops with the King of Bucks collection & that is what they do also! Made me feel good to do something not many people knew about.

No WD-40. Oil and dirt dont mix. Feather duster. damp cloth. I hear the do make some stuff the taxidermist can order for you.
