Man - i loved my first Ben Pearson recurve. You did not want to be a bullfrog in a tank in the same zip code as me in the early 70's. Good times.

Looking at these old catalogs sure bring back good memories of bygone days.
I had an old Pearson recurve rigged up to bowfish with and slayed many a carp and small gar with it. Along with a couple of water moccasins.

I really wanted a Mercury Marauder TD and had money from side work to buy one through the BX on base. If Jim Dougherty designed it and hunted with it I wanted one. lol Being a young airman though, I wasn't allowed to buy one there because my salary wasn't high enough. Hmmp! So I got the Silencer TD instead. That was ok. I shot a big old Midwestern whitetail buck with it. I really liked that bow.

The first bow I shot was the ol Pearson green glass recurve. There is one guy in the 1976 catalog (Len Cardinale, advisory staff) that had an archery shop (Butts and Bows), bought my first compound from him, Bear's Black Bear. Brings back memories. Thank you sir!
